Syntopia 3D is a single-player 3D game that my team and I created for thesis fulfillment. As this is a team effort, everyone of us had a distinct part in the project's success.
My main role in game production is as a game designer. I designed the aesthetic and structure of the game, mainly the graphical user interface like the menus, inventories, and other non-game interactive systems on-screen.
I also handled the production of the game's story animation and the 3D models.
One of the user interface designs I created is the game tutorial screen that will pop up before the game starts.
This is the screen design that will show the newly acquired weapon that will be used on every stage of the game.
This is the design inventory for the game.
3D models I created in Blender for the game. I simply know the fundamentals because I just self-studied and I lack a powerful computer for such production. This was a significant step in my learning about polygonal 3D modeling.
The vector animation was created in Adobe Photoshop, and the simple black-and-white animation was created in Macromedia Flash MX. Creating the story animation for the game was a crucial step in my understanding of 2D animation.
